SO Gospel

September 2006: new relaunch of the gospel choir project that I joined in several occasions; this time the idea starts in two versions: 6 voices plus pianoforte for space-limited occasions (lineup unveiled on September 30, 2006 for a wedding), and about 25-30 voices (So Gospel Choir) for the situations that allow it. Since March 2007 I'm involved in both teams.

The idea comes from Sabrina Olivieri, and the name of the band is also a tribute to her, because "SO" is not only the english word but also her initials: an idea of mine, cause I'm a maniac for suggesting names to the bands I'm in...

Initially the six voices lineup includes Sabrina (which also takes care of the vocal arrangements), Simona D'Agostina and Marco Evans of the Rainbow Singers, plus me, Debora Maffei and Nausicaa Magarini; Lorenzo Livraghi (another recurring name in Sabrina's activities) usually accompanies us at the piano. Since the end of 2007 the sextet uses a new name: "The Gospel Light Vocal Ensemble" (sic!).

Here are some members of the full choir (list permanently under revision):

Nicolò Berterame - Cristina Caforio - Micaela Calvano - Morena Cappai - Emanuela "Lela" Cortesi - Chiara Degl'Innocenti - Nadia Falcone - Gabriella Favaro - Luigi La Rocca - Filli Lupo - Marco Modena - Davide Nanni - Debora Nanni - Alessia Piantoni - Paola Saporito - Heaven Villa - Sewit Villa

My participation to both projects ended in April 2008.
